Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home having a combined gross house income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined home earnings isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS nsfas 2025 Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or intend to research at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
